Stars Go Dim’s third studio project, Grace In The Wilderness, leads listeners on a pilgrimage toward hope that expands on the infectious pop that’s defined Cleveland’s catalog since the impassioned singer debuted his first self-titled album under the Stars Go Dim moniker. It’s never easy releasing music, especially when the songs mean something to you… So here it goes, here’s my heart. There are 13 songs on this record and not one that I don’t love. “Many of these songs were written during 2020 and reflect the hope and joy that I’ve found even in the midst of tragedy and pain - hence the title. This is a record that, I believe, represents myself as an artist better than anything I’ve ever released,” Cleveland shares. “Excited is an understatement for how I feel about my new project, Grace In The Wilderness.

I’m deaf in my left ear but I’ve never known any different.’Ī lot of people have come alongside Chris to pray for healing over the years. ‘I’ve had a bunch of surgeries on it, and my mechanical functioning to get sound waves from outside of my head into my head doesn’t work.

One of the big challenges Chris has faced is being born with a tumor in his left ear. That’s really what all my songs are about.’

‘I want people to know that their life has value and meaning. But another one of the things I wanted to do was to be able to play it live.’Ĭhris believes his song, You Are Loved, contains an important message that people need to hear. ‘In Christian music, there’s not a lot of others doing what I’m doing. ‘We were more deliberate in trying to put this idea of pop music and Christian lyric together,’ says Chris. Hopefully it really represents the breadth of what I can do.’įor Chris, Grace In The Wilderness has been a more personal project.

‘There are songs on this record that other worship artists have cut that I wanted to do my own versions of.

‘I write a lot of worship stuff for other people as well,’ says Chris. Stars Go Dim was originally formed in 2007 by Christian pop musician and composer Chris Cleveland.
